The most common is the fumes filtration used during welding, soldering, cutting by laser, plasma, or flame (and other operation of thermal processing and material modifications); the fume is often distinguished as oily or dry pursuant to the share of the combustion gases from grease, lubricants, or preservatives present in the fume.
