Introduction:
Filtration of air with a high content of aerosols, mainly air with oil and cutting emulsions, is a typical solution in the metal-industry and related industries. A typical application for the filtration of air with aerosols are CNC machines, milling machines, drilling equipment, and others which need oils or emulsions for the cooling of the worked material and tools, which subsequently create aerosol due to the tools movement. The individual devices, material, and used media vary from each other; therefore one can’t use one single solution of exhaustion and filtration. By using Oil-Mist-management, in compliance with PROENVISS, a specific solution is created and the best application is chosen.

Introduction:
Waste product filtration is directly dependent on their origin and character; if the waste products are microscopically fine particles, usually called fumes, then the filtration is done in a mechanical way. Most of the time, the waste products are volatile organic substances released during production that are often carcinogenic, harming health and the environment. Because they are combustible, they are also dangerous because of the danger of combustion and explosiveness in certain concentrations. All places of origination must be perfectly exhausted by a strong air current and the system must be antistatic in design and grounded; the filtration is most often performed by special active filters (filled with active coal) working on the principle of absorption of volatile materials. In the case of large volumes of these materials, there must be an option of easy regeneration of active filters, which allows the decrease of operational costs to optimum level. In the case of some specific waste products (exhalations of aggressive substances – e.g. acids or alkali), the filtration is most often solved by chemical washing during which the waste products are captured and neutralized.
