Mrs. Eliška Hašková – Coolidge and Jan D. Čermák at the meeting of the Canadian Business Chamber in Prague. Mrs. Eliška Hašková – Coolidge worked for 18 years in the White House helping five American presidents, and later at high positions in the USA State Department. In the CR, she cooperated with the Diplomatic Academy on the preparation of Czech diplomats.
At a lecture at the University of Calgary, the President of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus, met with the Vice President of our Canadian company ENVISS TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL INC., the Honorary Consul of the CR in Canada, Jaroslav Jelínek.
The Czech-Canadian Otto J. Jelinek worked in Canada in many important positions – he was the Minister of Labour, Minister of Sport (the winter Olympic games in Calgary in 1988 were under his management), and he also worked as the Minister of Public Service and Labour. From 1996, he was the Director of Europe for Deloitte & Touche. He is also the possessor, together with his sister, of the World Champion in Figure Skating from the sixties.
